Strained but Staying: Job Strain, Presenteeism, and Sickness Absenteeism Among Academic Staff in a Thai Teaching Hospital
Abstract Summary: High job strain prevalence was 23.3% among academic staff in a Thai teaching hospital. Active strain and high strain were significantly associated with presenteeism (adjusted RR = 3.04), while financial well-being showed the strongest association for both absenteeism and presenteeism. Interventions targeting psychosocial hazards and financial well-being are recommended.
